The Opticians Association of Canada (OAC) is proud to provide financial support of students through scholarships, awards and bursaries to all accredited Opticianry Programs across Canada. Below you will find a list of the opportunities provided by the OAC, partners or sponsors of the OAC, and a link to opportunities provided by the educational institution itself.

The Optical Group Business Enrichment Scholarship - 2024

Value of Scholarship: 3-year Scholarship covering a students’ tuition fees and textbooks for all four (4) semesters of the Eyeglasses Program and the two (2) semester Contact Lens program 
Number of Scholarships:  2
Disbursement Year:  2024 
Program Area(s) Supported: Optical Sciences – Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses
Criteria/Eligibility:  Available to students within Canada, outside of the province of Alberta and Territories, entering the Optical Sciences – Eyeglasses program at NAIT in the Fall 2024. Students must be enrolling in a full semester of courses. Student must be employed by a business member of The Optical Group.

Available to registered students residing in British Columbia who are enrolled in, or enrolling in, the first term or semester of an Opticianry Program offered through Douglas College, NAIT or Stenberg College. Students must be enrolled in, or enrolling in, a full course load. Awarded on the basis of community involvement and financial need.

Continuing Education

The Opticians Association of Canada (OAC) has an extensive online continuing education library available to its members for use towards their professional learning requirements. The online library consists of electronic module articles as well as video modules. New content is consistently being added to the online library for the benefit of our members.

OAC members receive unlimited online modules per year as a benefit of membership.
