Increase Your Online Local Presence To Stand Out Among Your Competitors

Enhancing your online local presence is an impactful way to solidify your business’s brand and increase business traffic. Local presence management is defined as the practice by which a business manages the local listings, reviews and pages dedicated to their stores. Increasing the online visibility of your brand and the accessibility to your business’s webpage is a key component of effective marketing.

Updating on your Google Business Profile, having strong reviews and ratings, and having the local pages of each store location available on your main website are all important for increasing the local presence of your business.

Taking control of your local Google Business Profile listing by updating your company name, address, and contacts is a good first step in increasing your visibility. It is important to also make sure that your company appears in Google’s three-pack, which displays the topmost results for whatever a user searches for. In order to make sure that your company appears in Google’s three-pack, you need to work on enhancing your listing, so it shows up in more searches. You can do this by selecting the appropriate categories for your business, adding photos of your business location, giving customers an idea of your store’s visuals and aesthetics, listing the accessibility amenities at your location like access ramps, parking, elevators and many more. Managing a business’s Google Business Profile requires a lot of upkeep and time and so you can consider using tools that will help update brand information regularly as well as inform you on your business’s performance in comparison to other stores.

Having strong reviews and high ratings are very important to in regard to solidifying your local presence. Users trust customer testimonies the most; 95% of customers check reviews of companies they would like to purchase from. 43% of customers believe that products should have over 100 reviews and 44% of customers are more partial to reviews that have been posted within the last 30 days. Having enough reviews also has an effect on your business’s appearance as a recommendation for local searches. How can you get customer to leave reviews and ratings? By directly asking them to, either through service employees or in-store posters. You can use triggers to that could request reviews after customers perform a specific action like creating new customer accounts. You could also leave reminders for customers to leave feedback at the end of newsletters and your website. Moreover, placing QR codes in your store or on the company website makes it easier for customers to leave quick reviews.

Having the locations and links to the local pages of your stores available on the main company website increases your local presence for each store as customers will now exactly where to go to find a location closest to them. Every location listing should have the necessary information for your business like the address, contact information and store hours.
